What Can You Learn?
Why and How to Be Wise begins with a simple but powerful premise: wisdom is applied experience. Drawing from stories, insights, and lessons gathered from people across continents, professions, and eras, this book distills centuries of human experience into practical, accessible guidance.
Each chapter blends timeless perspectives with hands-on exercises, encouraging readers not just to understand wisdom, but to actively practice it in their daily lives. The result is a book that doesn’t simply tell you how to live more wisely — it helps you experience it firsthand.
How You Can Benefit:
This book is designed for anyone seeking clarity, maturity, and a broader view of life, but it holds special value for those standing at the threshold of new chapters.
Recent graduates, young professionals, and individuals stepping into unfamiliar territory will find a grounded, compassionate guide to navigating the world with intention.
Yet wisdom has no age limit. Whether you’re early in your journey or decades along, this book offers perspectives few have fully explored — and tools that benefit even the most seasoned readers.
About the Author
Much of the material found in the book “Why and How to Be Wise” was collected well before Danny even realized he would be compiling a book about wisdom. The perspectives he gathered from along the way were many and varied: his work with therapy clients ranging in ages from premature infants in the NICU through elders in hospice care have kept him in touch with a wide variety of interpretations of life; his development of peer-reviewed nonfiction and fantastical fiction publications have broadened his world(s)views; his “free-flowing creative musician” personality side and “regimented military school graduate” personality side have balanced his approach to life and with others. One thing which has steadily served him through all of this, though, is the ongoing curiosity encapsulated by the first word of this book: “Why?”
